Blue Max Solid Gold 50th Anniversary 

Whew, we are still catching our breath. 💛

The Solid Gold 50th Anniversary Leather Run was everything we hoped for and more. It was electric, emotional, unforgettable, and truly worthy of celebrating half a century of Blue Max history.

Founded in 1975, Blue Max Cycle Club was built on brotherhood, leather pride, and the belief that community matters. Over the past 50 years, Blue Max has grown and evolved while remaining grounded in the values that shaped us from the beginning: camaraderie, inclusivity, service, and respect for the traditions that came before us. From our earliest days riding together, to becoming the first St. Louis leather club to welcome women in 1992, to the strong and diverse club we are today, our story has always been written by the people who show up.

This anniversary run was not just a party, although it certainly delivered on that. It was a celebration of every member, volunteer, bar partner, performer, sponsor, sister club, and friend who has supported Blue Max across five decades. To everyone who traveled near and far, turned heads, danced until close, poured drinks, worked shifts, donated, performed, cheered, laughed, and kept the energy going all weekend long, thank you. You did not simply attend an event. You helped make history.

We are deeply humbled by the outpouring of love and support we felt throughout the weekend and in the months leading up to it. That support is a reminder that Blue Max has never stood alone. Our legacy exists because of the greater leather, kink, and LGBTQ+ communities that have embraced us, challenged us, and grown alongside us. The friendships forged, the causes supported, and the traditions passed down are what truly define these past 50 years.

As we reflect on this milestone, we honor those who came before us, the founders, past officers, members, and friends whose dedication laid the groundwork for everything we enjoy today. We also celebrate the current generation carrying the torch forward and ensuring that Blue Max remains relevant, welcoming, and committed to giving back.
